Job Description | ■Role of Department The Advanced Research Department is a research organization within the Group's R&D ecosystem that drives innovation from a medium to long-term perspective. Our aim is to continue to take on the challenge of uncertainty in order to create new businesses, and to contribute to the future Group's business from the research field by leveraging our own capabilities and new core technologies. ■Your responsibility As a corporate researcher, you will be involved in developing cutting-edge technologies, including formulating research strategies, creating new themes, and establishing and demonstrating core differentiated technologies, with a view to creating new businesses that go beyond the framework of existing businesses. You will be conducting research work. You will carry out research work with an eye toward the development of new key devices in sensing and data/signal processing architectures. We are looking for researchers who can gather insights from surveys of cutting-edge research in the world and work on research and development issues for projects that develop unique calculation methods, algorithms, and hardware, as well as researchers who can devise and promote strategies for themes as research leaders. ■Work environment At our research department, working styles are left to individual discretion according to the progress of research activities and work. Working hours and vacation days are flexible. Although employees mainly work from home, we encourage them to come to the office two days a week and engage in face to face communication. |
Requirement | ■Required ・Basic knowledge related to device development such as electrical/electronic engineering, physics, and physical properties ・Skills to lead the study of circuits according to purpose, regardless of digital/analog, asynchronous/parallel configurations ・3 or more years of experience in technology development (design, simulation, evaluation, analysis) related to semiconductor devices ・Experience in technology development related to signal processing and arithmetic processing architecture ・Must have multiple achievements in external research activities, such as submitted papers (first author) and presentations at international conferences. ・Skills for independently acquiring and building specialized knowledge and environment to carry out research activities as a researcher ・Flexible thinking and quick execution ability to discuss with researchers in different specialized fields and create fusion areas ■Preferred ・Software implementation skills (machine learning, image processing, signal processing, etc.) ・Experience in developing and implementing algorithms and software related to signal processing and arithmetic processing ・Experience in design and technology development related to image and acoustic sensing devices ・Having expertise and work experience in multiple areas ・Knowledge and experience regarding technology strategy, research strategy, and business development ・Experience in leading intellectual property acquisition and external contracts in order to implement research strategies ■Image of person we are looking for ・A person with passion and skills to create and implement research themes and strategies in line with the organization's mission. ・A person with the leadership ability to complete tasks even in difficult situations, as well as communication and network building skills. ・A person who can lead to future predictions and technology proposals through intellectual curiosity and logical analytical ability regarding technology. |
