Job Description

You will be responsible for wire harness design for the next-generation satellite and research and development project for the small SAR satellite constellation. You will be responsible for project management including design, review, cost and schedule, and coordinating and collaborating with each specialized team, stakeholders, and suppliers in the company's satellite development to promote the development of the next-generation satellite. As a member of the Data Production Department, you will join the Satellite Operation Planning Unit which is responsible for developing and operating the Spacecraft Control Subsystem for our small SAR satellite constellation. The Spacecraft Control Subsystem is one of the subsystems to operate our satellite constellation. Our responsibility is to keep the system working reliably at all times. Details of work: The roles of the Spacecraft Control Subsystem are making operation plans for our satellites, generating commands for them, and calculating specific information of our satellites such as past and future position and velocity data to use them in the planning process. Since this is an in-house system development, we will not only develop but also operate the system to add and improve future functions. The person in this position has the responsibility to maintain and update the infrastructure of the Spacecraft Control Subsystem, and achieve continuous improvement without any troubles. The person will also collaborate with other infrastructure engineers in the company to introduce best practices to our system, support development and operation of other systems. Selling points of this role: We’ve already operated 3 satellites in orbit, and the number of satellites will increase rapidly in the near future. Because the Spacecraft Control Subsystem has already been used for our daily operations, we cannot perform our daily satellite operations without it. You will be involved in the maintenance and operation of such an important system. You will be also involved in the core of our business by maintaining the Spacecraft Control Subsystem because it has interactions with our data platform which is used as the frontend to customers, and the Data Processing Subsystem which generates SAR products. Job Description

As a power supply system development engineer for small satellites, you engage in our small satellite development work as a person in charge of power balance analysis, power supply system design, power supply circuit design, verification and evaluation. -Power balance analysis Implementation of design that can meet the power requirement from the beginning to the end of the launch (in consideration of equipment deterioration and changes in power generation due to orbit) Sizing of solar cells and batteries Regularly update and manage power consumption information according to development progress -Power supply system design Organize the power distribution function and the amount of power generation required in each development and operation phase Design of power generation / distribution system considering efficiency to realize above Design the circuit diagram of various circuit functions that constitute the power generation / distribution system -Power supply circuit development Development of battery charging circuit, regulator circuit, power distribution circuit Design circuit, Design of substrate, Consignment and management of manufacturing of substrate, and Evaluation of substrate Design exhaust heat Coordinate related systems about how to attach the substrate for exhaust heat to the satellite - Selection of power supply components Selection of battery module (capacity, life, safety), procurement, evaluation Selection of photovoltaic cell, assembly manufacture / consignment, implementation and evaluation -Others Regularly investigate trends in new element technologies, and conduct recruitment examinations and verification Improvement of legacy system and implementation of new system development study Work closely with other engineering teams, partners and vendors for power system quality assurance

Requirement

Mandatory Higher than university graduation or College of Technology Bachelor's degree in the field of science and engineering More than 3 years of power supply circuit or analog circuit, or experience of multiple development cycles Have experience in designing or instructing artwork for power circuits Those who wants to be expert in the overall power system Basic Business English Desirable Knowledge of satellite orbit and attitude, power system Experience related to satellite development or operation Knowledge about solar cells Knowledge about lithium ion batteries Experience in system design and evaluation for charging and discharging the system using secondary battery (no matter what kind of CAD is used in circuit design, have at least 3 years experience in design and evaluation) Experience in EMC evaluation and its measures Software development experience in C ++ or Python and similar languages Upper business English Business level in English or Japanese

The mission of embedded systems software engineer concerns the on-board computer (OBC) of our satellites throughout its whole life-cycle, which includes design, development, testing, and troubleshooting. - Embedded software development, maintenance of components and systems - Programming applications, components drivers and interfaces in C, C++ etc. - Develop software based on satellite system specifications and other satellite component specifications - Document design information - Perform design reviews and code reviews Design and perform various tests - Work closely with other engineering teams, partners and vendors to ensure interoperability / reusability - Promotes co-debug and interface testing with related subsystems - Work with hardware designers to solve any issues - Gives support and troubleshoots problems during satellites initial and nominal operation - If possible, perform FPGA integration by HDL or IDEs

Requirement
